Google PageSpeed Insights is a free performance tool that evaluates the speed of a site on both desktop and mobile devices. It is a crucial factor in ranking your website higher on the search engine results.

It is a tool used for analyzing the performance of your website and is quite easy to use. First, you need to open up the PageSpeed Insights tool and enter the site URL in the bar. After that click on Analyze.

Then you need to wait for the tool to get the webpage analyzed. It can take some time depending on the internet connection speed and complexity of your page.

As soon as the analysis is finished, you will be able to see a score for both desktop and mobile versions of a page ranging from 0 to 100. A higher score means that the site is optimized for efficiency and speed.

Theoretically, the highest possible score is 100 out of 100. As stated by Google, below 50 is considered poor, 50 to 89 requires improvement and a score of 90 or above is good. 

Ultimately users don’t care about the score provided by Google PageSpeed Insights. They only want to access the content quickly and proceed further.
